Building Up the Next Generation

Dear Campus Life Friends,

Refreshing! That would be the best way to describe it, as after a three-year break, we were able to begin with a new batch of recruits for our Student Leadership Development Team. On our group’s first overnight training event we talked about the need for spiritual leaders, ministry calling, ministry potential and overall leadership training. We encouraged them, but also listened to their concerns and insecurities. It was also fun to listen to our current ministry staff talk about their experiences when they were a part of our leadership development team and how God used that to shape their lives and move them into vocational ministry. This process helps these new high school students develop into godly young men and women, serving God by serving and leading their peers. Our training of young people is not the let’s all sit in a circle and sing kumbaya (not even sure how to spell that). Not by a long shot. These students are taught to share their testimonies, share their faith, lead Bible studies, teach in front of larger groups and pray with others through the plan of salvation. All in an effort to help themselves and their peers move one step closer to Jesus. So much potential and so many early signs of maturity. Developing future leaders is a big part of who we are at Campus Life. Please pray for these kids. It’s going to be an exciting school year.

Speaking of school year, can you believe that it’s upon us? Summer went way too fast, but we are energized and excited to see how God is going to use the months ahead to grow His kingdom. All of our school year programs will be starting up in the next couple of weeks. Staff and volunteers are ready, willing and able to help those we work with to grow in their faith and not just be hearers of the Word of God, but doers of the Word of God. Please be in prayer for all of our clubs, Bible studies, and outreaches as we move forward in the Lord.

Thanks for being on the journey with us. You are such an important part of the ministry and we are blessed to be able to call you friend. Your prayers and support allow us to be on the front lines of ministry. We know it and appreciate it. We couldn’t do this without you. May God richly bless you.

Serving together,
