Dear Campus Life Friends,
“It’s so great to see you again. We missed you.” I heard that phrase, or some form of it, probably 50 times the morning of August 12th as we hosted two sessions of our Campus Life Senior Adult - Summer Gathering of Friends. It was great to welcome back our very active and engaged group of seniors. It had been five months since they had last gathered here, and they were so ready to reconnect. During this event, Campus Life staff shared scripture and told how and why those scriptures spoke to them and comforted them during challenging times. We also had special music to uplift hearts and spirits. A number of people attending mentioned how great it was just to hear
the word of God, how it spoke to them personally and gave them peace. The word of God never returns void.
To follow up on that, starting in September, we will be hosting our new ministry platform called Spice of Life for seniors . This will happen the 1st and 2nd Wednesdays of each month, from 10:30 am - 12 pm. In order to allow for social distancing and follow health department guidelines, attendance will be limited for each event. If you’ve enjoyed our Senior Luncheons in the past, you’re going to love our new Spice of Life and yes, there will be food. Reservations are necessary, so if you wish to attend call us at 920-457-2381 or email campuslife@gocampuslife.com.
The Tent: Whoever thought that when we purchased our big tent (40’ x 40’) a number of years ago that we would be using it out of necessity in order to do ministry. It works great. What a
blessing it has been to do children's and youth programs under the big top. The kids love it, the
staff loves it, and there is plenty of room for social distancing. Please pray for continued good
weather through these end-of-summer months.
Other Campus Life programs are, or soon will be, up and running. Additional club programs,
Bible studies, outreaches and more are all happening, and we are so excited to see how God is
working and will continue to work in this pandemic. Currently we are still not allowed back
into the juvenile jail or the assisted living facilities, but we are trusting God will reopen those
doors soon. We also continue to pray without ceasing, watching for new doors of ministry
opportunity. What will God do next? Stay tuned.
Auction update: Thanks to you the first ever Campus Life Online Auction was a HUGE success.
We raised $16,000 and feel very blessed by the generosity of those donating items and those
bidding. What an amazing event. Thank you for being a part of this with us. We appreciate all of you so much. Thank you for your continued support of Campus Life, and for being a part of
this continuing miracle and continuing journey. Your generosity allows us to move the ministry
forward in faith. May God bless all of you.
Sincerely,
