Outreach Ministry Director
We are:
Campus Life of Sheboygan County is a Christian non-profit, faith-based ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ with the youth and families of Sheboygan County. We are pleased to announce that we are currently hiring for an Outreach Ministry Director! This is an exciting step for the ministry as we begin the process to see who God might lead to this position.
You are:
-
A growing follower of Christ with a passion for sharing the Gospel with others.

A minimum of two years post-high school education. Four-year degree preferred.
-
Two years of practical experience leading and/or engaged in outreach ministry required.

Involved in a local church by serving, being engaged in the church community, and regularly attending services.

Sets a Godly example for people in one’s personal life.
-
Be a self-starter, able to work independently without significant direction or oversight.
-
Demonstrates a humble and teachable spirit.
-
Commitment to meet regularly with a group or specific person for accountability.
-
Passionate about the mission and vision of Campus Life.
-
Willingness to submit and minister within the guidelines of Campus Life.
-
Submit to an extensive background and reference check.

Be an active participant in all aspects of the Campus Life ministry.

Financially support the ministry of Campus Life and encourage others to do so.

Must be able to effectively build and lead teams of people.
-
Able to shepherd individual leaders.

Skilled in problem solving.
-
Able to use current technologies for communication, ministry, and office functions.
-
Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to and from work.
As an Outreach Ministry Director, you would be responsible for:
Ministry Health
-
Develop and assess ministries around stated goals
-
Create programming that coordinates healthy ministry work day to day.
-
Keep Executive Director and Director aware of ministry health, progress, and challenges.

Oversight of ministry-oriented programs and events.
-
Model ministry by remaining involved with the community in multiple capacities.

Develop a missional community with the volunteer staff.
Ministry Growth
-
Develop long-term vision for outreach ministry in coordination with Executive Director and Director.

Create, plan, and execute new outreach ministry programs.
-
Identify new potential outreach ministry areas, prioritize, and develop.
-
Work with individuals, churches, and donors in new areas.
-
Lead the process for identifying potential volunteers and interns.
-
Oversee training of new ministry volunteers in the club programs.
Leadership Development
-
Help to build a culture of leadership development within Campus Life.
-
Involvement in volunteer ministry leader recruitment, training, mentoring, and retention.
Donor Development
-
Be involved in all organization wide fundraising efforts.
-
Identify potential donors and communicate to donor development team.
-
Work with the donor development team in the process of pursuing significant donors/donations.
Specific Duties
-
Direct and grow Campus Life outreach ministry to the Sheboygan County area.
-
Direct and grow Campus Life juvenile jail outreach ministry.
-
Recruit and train (shepherd) new and current volunteers for outreach and juvenile jail ministry.
-
Engage in community events on behalf of Campus Life (parades, festivals, Acuity Health Challenge, etc.).
-
Support Campus Life outreach and summer camp efforts as directed.
-
Support for other Campus Life ministries as needed/directed (i.e., senior adult, auction, etc.).
-
Any and all other duties as assigned.
Time Commitment
-
Full time hourly position 40+ hours per week. Hours will be a combination of office hours and off-site hours. Night and weekend hours will be substantial and are driven by the needs of the ministry.

Hours over 40 in a week will be paid at time & ½ or may be taken hour-for-hour with the pre-approval of their supervisor.
Spiritual Responsibilites
Because the overriding purpose and mission of Campus Life is to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community of Sheboygan County, and to make, educate and encourage lifelong disciples of the Lord, it is very important that you, as an employee of Campus Life, abide by our Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct. In addition, the following responsibilities of a spiritual nature will apply to your position within our organization:

Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization, as well as for specific ministry initiatives.

Participate in and occasionally lead regular times of prayer, Bible study and worship with other staff members.
