Dear Campus Life Friends,
I get a lot of phone calls. Some are good, some not so good. Recently I received a really good phone call from one of our juvi. jail volunteers. He wanted to share with me a real God opportunity he had experienced that day. One of the inmates, who had been incarcerated here for many months, was being transferred - soon. He was in a rough condition, not doing well with what his new place of imprisonment was going to hold for him. By jumping through some hoops that only God could make happen, this volunteer was able to meet with him, spend time with him, encourage him and pray for him. This volunteer, along with others from our juvi. jail ministry, have invested dozens of hours with this young man. Seeds that were planted, we have watched grow. God has turned hard soil into soft, and God is moving in this young man’s life. I am so thankful for our juvi. volunteers who selflessly serve in one of the truly darkest places in our county.
Why do summer months go by so fast here at Campus Life? Probably because we love what we do and are on the go all the time. Summer programs are great. We get to invest in kids and adults on a regular basis, even around bonfires and through the various games we have set up. No matter how much fun we have though, our primary purpose is to share the Gospel and help people move one step closer to Jesus. This is a great time of year.
I know that summer is a busy time for you as well. It’s great to be able to get outside and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Praise God and thank Him for this beautiful world He has created, and thank Him for what He is doing in your life and the lives of others. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1 Please don’t forget about us this summer. THANK YOU! The 2022 Campus Life Benefit Auction was a HUGE success. We met our fund-a-cause goal and are able to have new blacktop installed by the Cedar Lodge. We also raised significant funds for our Summer outreach and ministry programs. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.
