Dear Campus Life Friends,
Everyone likes a front row seat. Well, here’s a front row seat to something very special. Recently, a Campus Life staff person and a volunteer were sharing the Gospel with three boys. At the end of their time together our staff person asked if they would like to surrender their lives to Christ and accept His gift of salvation. Two of the three boys said yes and prayed to receive Christ, as our volunteer prayed with them. Totally awesome! I was thinking though, how many times had these young boys heard the Gospel message? How many people had spoken truth into their lives? Why did they respond that day and not weeks before? We have no idea. And that is why God is the one “who gives the increase”. It’s not about us, it’s about Him. We have to be faithful and obedient, but God is the one who changes hearts and manipulates circumstances, to bring people to Himself for His glory and for our redemption. Please pray for these young boys as the discipling process begins. Please also pray for that third boy, that he too can come to saving faith in Christ. And praise God that He is at work as we just keep planting seeds.
Can you believe we are now in August? Wow! Where is the summer going? It just seems to be going way too quickly. July was great, but August is going to be even better. Our week of Adventure Camp is fast approaching. We expect approximately 40 3rd-5th graders to
participate in this awesome week of crafts, games and Bible stories. The gospel message is interwoven throughout ALL of our camp activities, and we are totally excited to see how God will work during this time. Please pray for the kids who will be participating, as well as the fifteen or so volunteers and staff people leading this ministry. Please also be in prayer for our 2nd annual Kite Festival which will happen just two days after camp, Saturday, August 27, 9 am - 3 pm. The Kite
Festival is designed to be a huge outreach into our community showcasing the many ministry programs we have here at Campus Life. Come on out and enjoy the kites (bring your own or buy one here), food trucks, brat fry, corn roast and all of the live entertainment. Everyone is invited. It’s going to be an awesome day.
