Dear Campus Life Friends,
A few weeks ago I was chatting with someone who made the comment that it was really great that so many of our staff and volunteers seem to have grown up within the Campus Life family. Those words made me reflect on just what God has done, right before our eyes, in these young lives, and deep inside it brought a HUGE smile to my face. Our staff and volunteers are amazing, and yes, many of them are “home-grown”. Jenna, our student ministry director started coming to Campus Life when she was in 6th grade. She left us after high school to go to college and then came back. She is now serving God full-time here and Jenna working on her masters in ministry leadership. Anna, our children's ministry director also started coming to Campus Life when she was in 6th grade. She is now working for us part-time and going to Lakeshore Technical College. Lexi basically grew up here and has been volunteering for the past 7 years. Beth was a Campus Life kid and has been volunteering now for over 30 years - WOW! And there are many others. Now we have another group of students, coming up through our programs who can’t wait to become that next wave of staff and volunteers.
We need them, and we need others, too. Our programs are growing and we need more volunteers. We coach, we train, we mentor and we watch in amazement at what God does in the lives of these amazing servant-hearted youth and adults. Want to be a part of this amazing Campus Life family? Talk to us, and let’s see how God might want to use you in this awesome ministry.
There are so many good things going on here each week at Campus Life. Hundreds of people come through our doors. Some of them are looking for a place to belong and some don’t know what they are looking for. Some are seeking to grow in their faith and some are coming to learn how to be a Christian leader in their school or home. Various ages, various stages in life. All being guided towards the savior, Christ Jesus.
He has risen! He has risen indeed! Be sure to celebrate this incredible Easter season. Don’t take it for granted or get distracted by other things in life. Easter is important and we should truly celebrate what God has done for us through Jesus, the Messiah. Thank you for all that you have done to help Campus Life continue to share the Good News and to help people move one step closer to Jesus. We are blessed to have you as our friends and partners in the Lord’s work. Be strong and courageous. We serve an awesome God.
Happy Easter,
