Lessons for Life

by Meghan Bridges It was a while ago that I reached out to Denise regarding my grandmother, and it was also a while ago that I returned home early from my first year of college. Classes have resumed, and I am writing this as I sit in my college dorm room late at night responding to emails.

I wanted to thank you for the support and prayers you have messaged and the card that you sent my grandma a while ago from the Campus Life family.

I have always been grateful for Campus Life but stepping out of being a student and transitioning to this new phase of life with the difficulties in the world and personally, I am grateful for the Campus Life family in a familiar yet different way.

Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. – 1 Thessalonians 2:8

1 Thessalonians 2:8 fits Campus Life very well in so many ways. I missed being around this summer especially when I returned home sooner than I planned; however, I am grateful that I spent time working at Pine Haven. The Lord has been using the lessons of potential, presence, and flexibility that He used you to teach to me throughout my years on the Student Leadership Team. They have been so fitting as I step into leading a Prayer Team this year and work alongside with other ministries to help navigate with so few of our team being on campus.

As you may have heard, most colleges are shutting down around November 20 to send students home. I would love to be a volunteer while I am home for two months or more in whatever way Campus Life may need.

Overall, THANK YOU. Thank you for being a source of prayer and support and wisdom in the years that have gone, this summer and now. Thank you for teaching and showing what it means to be a good and faithful servant. Psalm 105
