For many years we have offered to take kids out for lunch if they would contact us after getting out of juvi. jail. Over the past 10+ years, only a handful have taken us up on the offer - until now. A couple of months back Shirley, our Outreach Ministry Director, got a call from a kid who just got out. She was so excited that she went to every office in the building celebrating with the other staff. Then she said, “Jim, I need a bell, so when a kid calls in I can let everyone know”. So we got Shirley a bell, and you know what? That bell has been ringing - PRAISE GOD! She not only has been able to meet and do lunch with some of these kids, but she has also been able to be in
touch with some of their parents. Please pray that the bell rings often, and that more ministry can take place as Shirley and her team speak truth and love into the lives of very at-risk youth.
The 2023 Campus Life Father Daughter Ball is totally SOLD OUT - again. Over 540 dads and daughters will be participating during the four night event. Please pray that this quality time for dads and daughters would bless and strengthen (and in some cases repair) their relationship with each other, and further strengthen families as a whole. This will be our 13th Father Daughter Ball, and it will be just as awesome as the first, way back in 2010. How many lives have been touched by this event? How many relationships mended? Only God knows, but it sure is exciting to know that He is at work.
There are also many other great things going on every week here at Campus Life. Consider getting involved in one of our Bible studies or maybe our events for senior adults. Would you want to consider joining us on our mission trip this summer to Washington, DC, or help us out with our other summer activities? We truly do have something for everyone, and that includes you. Thank you for being a part of the continuing miracle and continuing journey of Campus Life.
