Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

Dear Campus Life Friends,

“I’m traveling this weekend and the temptations are great. Would you please pray that God would help me guard my eyes and my heart”? This was a request made by a young man I’m mentoring.

This guy knew that even though he is a Christian, the temptations are still there and he is vulnerable without God’s protection. We see it so often here, especially dealing with young people (and the not so young). A self-confidence that sometimes leads to actions not true to the faith and consequences that can be down-right devastating. We are only truly safe (even from ourselves) when we are in the palm of God’s hand. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. - Matthew 6:13

Spring has sprung and we are so ready. Ready not just for the warmer weather, but ready to embrace the “new normal” of doing ministry, inside and outside - whatever it takes. Our staff is making plans for a very exciting end of the school year and summer. Able to do now many of the things we were unable to do a year ago due to COVID-19. Everything in an effort to help students, children and adults move one step closer to Jesus. Some of the those who come through our doors are dealing with some pretty heavy stuff. But the joy that I see on their faces reminds me so much of what we need to be celebrating this Easter season. Life can be tough. Hurts can run deep. Despair seems to abound. But...

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son.... – John 3:16

I hope that you have a smile on your face and joy in your heart this Easter. We love God, but He first loved us. Celebrate Easter. Love your families. Enjoy the life that God has given you. He has risen! Praise God.

Happy Easter from our family at Campus Life to yours. Thank you for all that you do to help keep this ministry moving forward in Christ. Your partnership, prayers and financial support are needed, valued and appreciated. You are making it possible for us to share the life changing message of Jesus Christ with area young people and their families – everyday. Blessings to you and yours this Easter.

Serving Together,
